SELFBUILD & RENOVATION COURSES

Whilst primarily aimed at novices, those who have already started or completed a project will undoubtedly find the course useful too. Covering 11 topics in total, the courses take the form of informal workshops and make use of the superb practical exhibits available in the Centre to provide attendees with a level of knowledge which guarantees their projects will go more smoothly. Previous attendees have saved as much as £18,000 on their projects by following the advice of the Centre lecturers.

 

2013's Eco Workshops provide a friendly, relaxed environment where self builders, renovators and home improvers can speak to the experts. Whether you want to get advice on a 1-to-1 basis with an expert or sit in on a few seminars and simply soak up the knowledge, you should find the Eco Workshops extremely informative.

These Eco Workshops will provide you with the opportunity to discuss the green ideas, designs and plans you have for your home and hear about what else is possible.

Open all year round this department store for self-builders and renovators brings together 67,000sqft of products, services and advice all under one roof.  No longer will you be restricted to particular show dates when you can come and see our products.

No longer will you be fighting crowds…you can rent headphones for a guided tour or wander at your leisure. Once you register, you will be given a barcode scanner, to easily request specific information on the products that are of interest to you. Why not bring your architect or builder along as well and whilst relaxing in the café (Open 11am-3pm), discuss the design of your dream home with all the materials to hand?

A typical visit will take about three to four hours and the following exhibits can be visited:

Located just off J16 of the M4 at Swindon, the store is open 10am -5.30 Tuesday to Sunday.Tickets are FREE during the week and cost £8 at the weekend or £12 for a couple. (Currently there's an offer for FREE entry at the weekend) Children under 16 go free. However, only a limited number of tickets can be sold per day, so if you pre-book by telephone (08700 600 100) or book online, you guarantee your entrance on the day. If you would like to spend more time there over a few days, there are plenty of hotels and guest houses nearby. In addition parents can make use of the Kidz About play area.
